Who here has ever late to finish a deadline? I am sure we all have, especially freelancers like us who became the boss of yourself. Weits, freelancer does not mean that we would we could simply did not comply with the deadline, the one that!
Precisely because we are freelancers, we should have more control over what we are late for work and had faced a deadline should be more minimal (should be). Try now we use the control we have it and apply the four steps below so that we can avoid the work that late.
Do not be deadliner!
I intentionally put this at the top because this is usually the main cause of delays. Words such as “Ah still long” or “Tomorrow could still laa!” Should always be avoided! Repay you far better job than to spend the night all-you finish the project on the H-1. Remember that your body has limits!
This habit is also very need to be avoided because it is usually new problems will emerge in the final seconds. When you deadliner, I’m sure you know what I mean wink
This step more towards the mindset. Set your intention and then do the second step.
Plan everything well
Nobody plans to fail, they want just fail to plan
Planning is important, do not mess tu labor. Read our article about the standard workflow freelancer if you still do not have a clear picture about the way you work. Need to be reminded that here you grasp fully the control, be responsible, however flexible. Find a suitable workflow work for you and do with discipline.
I myself used to start the day by listing everything I have to do that day and will mencontengnya one by one when finished. Get used to register the activities of small and like: “create menus using the suckerfish” and “working on a feature” rather than “complete the design of the B site.” That way when the day ends, we would have felt had done a lot of things!
Do not think too highly your ability
The experience we have read # 7? Who tried to ever experience it? I used to experience it once because I was too high rate of my ability. We’re not Superman! We are ordinary human beings who need a break and of course there are limits to our ability. Learn to measure these limits.
But do not make this a reason for you berleha-inattentive. Determine the optimum limit, not the maximum of your ability and trying to develop slowly. By the simple indeed, but I’m sure you will know the limits of self (and personal health) sejalannya with the experience gained.
Evaluate your performance and Adaptation
This step is overlooked by so many freelancers, especially those who had long been in the world of freelancing. Many have forgotten that all the processes that we do need oversight, just like in the world of work where the boss we are watching. Well, now there is no boss! Therefore we are obliged to watch ourselves.
Try your performance evaluation of each month, how many projects you’ve done it successfully, how many are late, how many are not fit expectations, and of all the data you try to evaluate your mistakes. Identify the problem and try to solve these problems immediately so that does not happen again in subsequent months.
Ok, maybe four steps may sound easy. But even I also still love to break them because they do not accidentally (or intentionally) Anything else you guys want to add?
